Let's see what we have here...

Rainy Day Company.

Hi, this is our first blog brought to you by yours truly, Isaac Bartibogue.

This first Blog will be the history of rainy day from thought to where we are on May 12th, 2010.

February 12th, 2008- I started to really enjoy making random things on photoshop and enjoyed sketching and I really wanted to start a line. What I did was made a list of 10+ line names. After I came up with a bunch of names I really like messy mixers. So I created a myspace for it, which is now the name of my printing company. However, I felt the name was lacking meaning. So the search went on again. Could not find anything with enough meaning to get things going.

March 13th, 2008- I started sketching an elephant, and then a monkey, and then a clown. I then made the clown have soaked hair and runny make-up, I made the elephant sad because he was all wet, however, my monkey was smiling. Smiling so much because he was dry, dry because he was holding an umbrella. I then was like, Rain on my parade? I think not!
So then I thought, this is it. This is the name, Rainy Day Clothing! (To this date, that sketch has not been a release, so remember this blog)

March 15th, 2008-So then I thought about this sketch. This is the name, Rainy Day Clothing! (To this date, that sketch has not been a release, so remember this blog)

June 7th, 2008- Graduation party which is what paid for printing.

June 15th, 2008- Printed at Cape Cod Textiles, I was supposed to receive my order by July 3rd to release my line on July 4th, in Onset.

July 3rd, 2008- Call to pick up my order. They haven't started printing yet.

July 15th, 2008- I pick up my shirts and do inventory count, they didn't print 8 shirts of one design. Started selling and made my complaint.

Fall 2008- I designed the Make it Rain on them hoes t-shirt and put it up for pre-order. Shirts sell out before I released them in my hands. Printed more and sold about half, total of about 150 shirts printed. Sold 148. Kept one for myself, and I saved my very last one and will never be sold.

March 2009- I bring in when girls kiss girls, seth simonelli, agnes, and a few other bands. Seth Simonelli and I went to sell my shirts and his CDs at the Raynham Flea Market. With the first batch of logo tees.

Summer of 09- Met great friends from Rhode Island and including the owners of Bad Endorsement, I also had the first annual beach party and invited BE to come along. With Peter Fortin's design winning first place in the contest with a whopping 38% of the votes.

Fall of 09- Got these great designs from Peter and Ricky of BE for the fall release + a logo v-neck.

Winter of 09- Held some shows at buzzards bay knights of columbus.

2010- we had so much happen in 2010. Sponsoring a bunch of signed bands, went to bamboozle, got invited to do the entire warped tour. opening a retail shop, carried by a store in onset, my son was born, added seth rogers to rainy day company, manage a band called for the sake of secrets, and they are currently in the studio. major news is we are going to be opening up a venue in buzzards bay. We have so much new stuff coming and our summer line will be made up of about 7 designs and we will be having one of the biggest shows buzzards bay will ever see.

We have tons of new things coming and I want to thank everyone who purchased a shirt, who hated on rainy day, who became a fan for the originals, and for the new ones who liked rainy day, we do so much, and are super busy. but still talk to us, we like that. so add us on facebook.
Rainy Day Company is doing so much. And we love all of you, and a huge thank you to Bad Endorsement for all the help, and I think that you guys are going to love what they have coming.

I love you guys <3

<3 Isaac (EducatedGuppy)
